Stop the Presses Walkthrough in Baldur's Gate 3

Find Estra Stir: Head to the Lower City entrance near the Basilisk Gate. Estra Stir is located south of the waypoint, on the southern side of the gallows. Speak with her to learn about the defamatory newspaper article.

Obtain Potions of Invisibility: You will need at least two Potions of Invisibility or the spell version. These can be purchased from traders or found on the roof of the Baldur's Mouth Gazette building.

Get Potion from the Roof: To reach the roof, head west from Estra Stir to the Baldur's Mouth Gazette. Jump onto the smaller roof opposite the large courtyard tree, then jump to the roof above the entrance. Continue upwards and west to the building's peak, then find the loose plank on the western side. You may need spells or potions that enhance jumping, or use Misty Step/flying spells. Lae'zel's high Athletics stat was sufficient in testing.

Prepare for Infiltration: Transfer the Potion of Invisibility to the character with the highest Sleight of Hand and Stealth stats (Astarion was used in testing). Separate this character from the party. If they were used to get onto the roof, they can break through a barricade on the southeastern side to enter the building.

Infiltrate the Printing Room: Make a manual save before proceeding. The printing room is in the basement.

From the Roof: If you broke through the barricade, you'll be in the room with the elevator and a lever.

From the Main Entrance: Enter the building and turn left (south). You will encounter Guard Vlomina near the elevator entrance. Use a Potion of Invisibility before attempting to interact with the lever.
