How to Recruit Wyll in Baldur's Gate 3

Alright, so you're looking to get Wyll into your party in Baldur's Gate 3? He's a pretty cool Warlock and can be a real asset, especially if you need more magic users. The good news is, he's one of the easier companions to find and recruit, and you can do it pretty early on!

You'll first run into Wyll when you're helping him and some other folks fend off some Goblins. It's a pretty straightforward fight, and once that's done, you can head over to the Emerald Grove.

Once you're in the Emerald Grove, make your way to an area called The Hollow. You'll spot Wyll there, looking like a proper swordsman, teaching some Tiefling kids how to handle a blade. Go chat him up!

Wyll is generally pretty open to joining your cause, as long as you're not being a jerk about it. He'll probably mention his personal quest to take down a woman named Karlach (who you can also recruit later, by the way!). Don't worry if you don't want to commit to that right away; you can totally suggest teaming up without agreeing to hunt Karlach down. He'll still join your party.

Why is Wyll a good pick? Well, if your party is a bit light on spellcasters, he's a fantastic addition. As a Fiend Warlock, he's got a ton of cantrips and is pretty charismatic, which is always useful for those dialogue checks. So, if your main character isn't the most silver-tongued, Wyll can definitely help fill that gap.

Even if your party is already full, it's still a good idea to talk to Wyll. You can always swap out a current party member for him, or just send him off to your camp. If he's at camp, you can change your mind later and bring him out to play, or even help him with his personal quest if you decide to go down that route. And hey, if you're interested in romancing Wyll, you'll definitely need him in your party to build up his approval rating.
