Explore Route 124 in Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire! Learn about trainer battles, valuable shard trades, and Pokémon encounters in this walkthrough guide.

Alright, after all that excitement, it's time to hit the water! Heal up your Pokémon in Lilycove City's Pokémon Center and make sure you're stocked up on supplies, because we're heading out to Route 124. It's a bit like sailing in Wind Waker, but with way more Pokémon and thankfully, no giant fish trying to eat you.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
When you first arrive on Route 124, head east. You'll immediately run into a Swimmer. Battle them!
  2. 2
Keep heading east from the first Swimmer. Another Swimmer will be waiting for a battle.
  3. 3
After that battle, head southwest. You'll find the Sis & Bro trainer duo, Rita & Sam. Prepare for a double battle!
  4. 4
Once you've dealt with them, head east again to find another Swimmer, Spencer, ready for a fight.
  5. 5
Now, head northeast from Spencer. You'll find the Treasure Hunter's house. This is a super useful spot! Inside, you can trade in those colorful Shards you've found for valuable evolutionary stones. Red Shards get you Fire Stones, Yellow Shards get you Thunder Stones, Blue Shards get you Water Stones, and Green Shards get you Leaf Stones. If you're finding it tough to get enough shards, don't worry, mastering Super Training is another great way to get them.
  6. 6
Head north from the house and you'll find one last Swimmer out in the water. Defeat them to clear out all the trainers on Route 124.
  7. 7
After that, just head east to reach Route 125.
Tips
  • Keep an eye out for different fishing rods! The Super Rod is especially great here, as it can help you find Wailmer pretty much all the time.
  • The Shard House is a fantastic place to get evolutionary stones you might have missed. Make sure to collect as many Shards as you can as you explore Hoenn!
  • If you're looking for specific Pokémon, the tables below show you exactly where and how to find them. Chinchou and Clamperl are common finds underwater, while Relicanth is a rarer catch.
