Upon arriving at Route 127, head south-southeast to land on an island. Battle the three Fishermen there. Afterward, go northeast of them to find a Zinc. Return to the start of the Route and head west to battle a Bird Keeper on the sandy area. Continue surfing southeast to battle an Ace Trainer, and another can be found southeast of him. If you head west from the second Ace Trainer, near the next rocky ledge, you'll find a Triathlete. He may not be present initially as he swims a long, vertical rectangle.
From the Triathlete's location, travel far east and then south to discover a sandy alcove. In the southwest corner of this alcove, you'll find Heracronite, an item used to Mega-Evolve Heracross. Heracross, when Mega-Evolved, is statistically the second-strongest Pokémon in the game by Attack, and the strongest non-legendary.
East of the alcove, you can battle a Black Belt. North of him, you can use Dive to go underwater and resurface at another light spot. Before proceeding, battle the Free Diver you encounter. On the island where you resurface, you'll find Carbos on one side and a Rare Candy on the north side.
Return to the main part of the Route. You can explore the trenches around here by Diving and battling the various Divers. Once you are finished, head south by Surfing or Diving onto Route 128.
