Learn how to create and customize your own Secret Base in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. Discover Secret Spots, use Secret Power, and share your base with friends.

The basics of creating a Secret Base in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are straightforward. Upon reaching the northern part of Route 111, past the Fiery Path, you will meet Aarune, who will give you the TM for Secret Power. This move is not only useful in battle but is also key to creating a Secret Base at a Secret Spot.

Secret Spots can be identified as large trees, bushes with small holes, or mountainsides with small alcoves. To create a base, ensure you have a Pokémon knowing Secret Power in your party, then examine the spot and choose to make a Secret Base. You can only have one Secret Base at a time; creating a new one will automatically remove the old one.

Inside your Secret Base, you can access a PC for various functions, including decorating your base with items (up to a certain limit), deleting old bases, and organizing team data. You can also generate a QR code of your Secret Base to share with others, allowing them to scan it with their 3DS/2DS to add your base to their game. Conversely, you can scan QR codes shared by others to discover their bases. Special bases, distributed by Game Freak or Nintendo, can be found exclusively through QR codes and are located in the southeasternmost house in Mossdeep City.

Other methods for receiving Secret Bases include StreetPass and receiving them online from the first 30 people who appear in your PSS's Passerby list. Visiting another player's base offers several interactions. You may speak to the player character who might give you an item. Afterwards, you can battle them; their party will consist of up to three Pokémon they had during their last visit to their base, and their levels might be limited unless you activate the Level Release in their base. You can also battle their Secret Pals and add the main player to your own Secret Pals. These Secret Pals can be battled in your base once daily and may use various powers. You can have up to five Secret Pals, or fewer if you have removed Welcome Mats from your base.

When visiting someone else's base, be sure to collect the flag next to their PC. Each base yields one flag per day, and collecting flags unlocks more features.
