A Task for the Sweet Teeth

Complete Kaessi's companion quest 'A Task for the Sweet Teeth' in Pathfinder: Kingmaker. Learn how to assign tasks, manage the Sweet Teeth, and get rewards like the Emerald Necklace.

Alright, so you've finished up Kaessi's previous quest, Sorrowflow, and you're ready to dive into her next personal task: 'A Task for the Sweet Teeth'. This one pops up after Sorrowflow, and we found it was available right at the start of Chapter 3. Head over to Kanerah and Kalikke's House in your capital – it's southeast of the throne room entrance. Inside, you'll meet three of Kaessi's pals, the 'Sweet Teeth': Tevi, Naiho, and Elki. Feel free to chat with them to get the scoop before you move on. When you're ready, head upstairs to Kaessi's bedroom and have a word with her.

Turns out, Kaessi isn't exactly thrilled about hanging out with her friends. She wants you to give them a task to get them out of her hair, sending them off on a wild goose chase somewhere far away. To kick things off, head back downstairs and talk to any of the Sweet Teeth. They'll all give you the same response. Pick option 3, “Let’s see if you can complete my task…” – this will net you 90 Experience.

After you've given them their marching orders, you'll be presented with four different tasks to assign to the Sweet Teeth. They all need to be done eventually, but here are the options:

• “The Narlmarches are overgrown. They need to be weeded!”
• Take some measurements of Lake Silverstep. I wish to know the exact length of its shoreline!“
• The road through Varnhold to Talon Peak is terribly inconvenient. Try to find a better one, past the Shrike Hills!“
• “The picket fence at Oleg’s Trading Post is tilted. Go there and fix it!”

Let's start with the Narlmarches task: “The Narlmarches are overgrown. They need to be weeded!”. This is a great one to kick things off with because it should earn you an Emerald Necklace. This necklace is super important for advancing Kimo Tavon’s Masterpiece quest, Affairs of the Heart. If you don't snag it here, you'll likely be stuck waiting until Chapter 4 to complete that quest.

Once you've sent them off, all you can do is wait. This usually takes several weeks – for the Narlmarches weeding, we clocked it at exactly 32 days. You'll know it's done when your journal updates, telling you to head back to Kaessi's house in the east of your capital's main square. When you return, the Sweet Teeth will be back. Chat with them to get your rewards: 540 XP, a bunch of food items, and that all-important Emerald Necklace. After that, you can send them off on their next task and just keep repeating the process until all four tasks are completed.

When everything's wrapped up, have one last chat with the Sweet Teeth back at Kaessi's house. You'll want to choose the dialogue option: “It would be better for you to stay away from the capital for a while”.
