Guide to hunting Tuskgutter in Pathfinder: Kingmaker. Learn how to find Tuskgutter's Lair, defeat the beast with Amiri, and claim your reward.

Alright, so after you've dealt with those bandits and freed Jhod Kavken over at Thorn Ford, it's time to head back to Oleg's Trading Post. When you get there, Oleg's gonna tell you about this massive boar, Tuskgutter, that's been causing a ruckus. Now, Amiri, bless her heart, sees this as her chance to prove herself to you, so it ties into her personal quest, 'Prove Your Worth'. Even though this quest shows up on its own in your journal, you absolutely *need* Amiri with you to even get into Tuskgutter's Lair. So, make sure she's in your party, or you'll be making a pointless trip!

Tuskgutter's Lair is pretty deep into the North Narlmarches, past the Thorn River. It's southeast of the Temple of the Elk, but there's no direct route. Here's how to get there from Thorn Ford:

1. Head Southwest (you'll cross the river).
2. Then go Northwest.
3. Southwest again, until you reach an empty spot northeast of the Technic League Encampment.
4. Southeast, but the path will curve west and southwest.
5. Continue Southeast to an empty spot east of Tuskgutter's Lair.
6. Finally, head West to arrive.

Once you arrive at Tuskgutter's Lair, head north. Amiri will chime in, talking about her customs and how she tries to keep them up even far from home. She'll probably tell you she wants to take the beast down solo. Now, she's tough, but honestly, she's not going to win against this thing alone, especially not this early in Chapter 1. Tuskgutter has decent AC and HP, and a pretty good attack bonus, making it a real challenge for just one person, even Amiri. However, as a group, you should be able to handle it.

After you defeat the boar, Amiri will have another chat with you. Turns out, she wasn't trying to impress her old tribe, but rather, your adventuring party – your new tribe! How sweet is that? Make sure you grab Tuskgutter’s Head. Then, keep heading north and loot a nearby corpse for a Wand of Find Traps and An Ancient Rostlandic Coin. When you're ready, head back to Oleg to finish the quest and get your reward.
