Guide to completing the Coronation quest in Pathfinder: Kingmaker. Make crucial political decisions, give a speech to your subjects, and receive the Crown.
Walkthrough
- 1After completing The Twice-Born Warlord, visit your throne room. The quest will start automatically.
- 2Engage in dialogue with your companions and political benefactors (Jamandi and/or Natala), who will bring their chosen envoy (Kassil or Shandra).
- 3Make a moral choice regarding the crown.
- 4Formalize your political relationship by choosing one of the following options:
- Ally closely with the Aldoris: _“I wish to unite our powers - and make our enemies tremble at the very mention of our names. I expect you to allow my people to join the Aldori Academy, and I hope we’ll halt the patrols along our common border. - We have nothing to fear from each other.”_
- 5Ally closely with the Surtovas: _“I desire our influence to grow as the days progress. I suggest we establish a common trade office, which will deal with issues of prosperity, for both our countries. I’d also propose we soften the customs supervision on our common border - this will help goods move faster, and will benefit trade.”_
- 6Enforce neutrality: _“I promised to act as a mediating power between the Surtovas and Aldori, and I shall keep my word. I have many ideas on how we can strengthen our alliance: from the new trade agreements to creating common rules for border crossing.”_
- 7Distance yourself from neighbors: _“Our alliance is just a formality, fixed on a piece of paper. Let’s not bother each other, and mind our own business.”_
- 8Deal with any other outstanding throne room events.
- 9Head outside and give a speech to your subjects, making a variety of moral choices.
- 10Upon completion, you will receive a Crown.
Tips
- Progress in the quest Betrayer’s Flight is not important for this quest.
- Alliances come with both aid and obligations.
- Use the downtime between main quests to complete sidequests, companion quests, and explore new territory in Glenebon.
- During this downtime, you may encounter the quests Bury the Past, Turncoats, Judgment of the Gods, Deal with the Devil, and An Ancient Curse (Parts Four and Five).
- After a period of downtime, you will receive a letter from Irovetti, King of Pitax, inviting you to the Rushlight tournament, which starts the superquest War of the River Kings and the companion quest A Bard’s Calling (if Turncoats was completed).
