Walkthrough

    Travel to the Goblin Village. If coming from the capital, head East, East, East, Northeast, Southeast, Southwest. If coming from the Bridge Over the Gudrin River, head North, Northeast, Southeast, Southwest.

    Upon arrival, you will encounter goblins attempting to sic a Primal Hydra on you. Defeat this Primal Hydra. It has permanent _Blur_ (20% concealment), Fast Healing 9, and Damage Reduction 10/cold iron and magic. It has a relatively poor Armor Class and Attack Bonus. Elemental damage is effective.

    Continue east from the Primal Hydra's location until you can go no further, then turn north to find an entrance to the goblin village.

    Talk to the Goblin Horseslayer near the entrance. He will offer a quest to feed a beast in a pen.

    Enter the pen and approach the creature, which is another Primal Hydra. It will attack. Defeat it.

    Find the goblin quest-giver again near a goblin statue. You can choose to leave for a small experience reward or attack him. Jaethal will provoke hostilities. Sparing the quest-giving goblin yields 67 XP.

    Continue northeast from the goblin statue to find another monster pen. Goblins will release a Primal Hydra. Kill it.

    Loot a pile of rocks south of this pen to find a Token of the Dryad.

    Northwest of the goblin statue, in front of a goblin hut, find another pile of rocks containing a Taldan Warrior’s Dog Tag.

    Between the goblin hut and the previous hydra pen is another pen with a Primal Manticore. Free and kill the Primal Manticore.

    Search the fence west of the manticore's pen to find a well-hidden cache (Perception 23) containing 500 GP, some gems, and other treasure.

    Make your way west through the center of the village. Goblins will release another Primal Manticore. Dispatch it.
Tips
  • The Primal Hydra has permanent _Blur_ (20% concealment) and Fast Healing 9, and Damage Reduction 10/cold iron and magic. Focus fire and use elemental damage if possible.
  • The Primal Manticore has fewer attacks per round and no Fast Healing compared to the Primal Hydra.
  • A tank can help mitigate damage from the hydra's numerous attacks.
