Levels 2-3: Cleric Levels

Harrim begins as a Cleric. Advance him to 3rd-level as a Cleric. Allocate his Skill Points between Knowledge (Arcana) and Lore (Religion), ensuring both reach at least rank 3, with the aim to max one. Specialize in Necromancy, as spells like Glitterdust, Stinking Cloud, Slow, and Obsidian Flow are acquired too late for Conjuration or Transmutation to be worthwhile. His low Dexterity makes Ray attacks like Disintegrate impractical. He will eventually gain Boneshaker, effective against foes with low Fortitude Saves, such as enemy casters.

Levels 4-7: Sorcerer Levels

Upon reaching 3rd-level as a Cleric, Harrim gains 2nd-level divine spells, fulfilling a requirement for Mystic Theurge. Switch to the Empyreal Sorcerer subclass, which utilizes Harrim’s Wisdom for magical proficiency. Raise him to 4th-level Sorcerer, selecting general buffing and debuffing spells like Mage Armor, Grease, Reduce Person, and Boneshaker. Feats to acquire include Spell Specialization (focusing on Boneshaker) and Spell Penetration. Continue raising Knowledge (Arcana) and Lore (Religion) to rank 3, then prioritize maxing Perception. You will eventually need to choose between maxing Knowledge (Arcana) or Lore (Religion) due to limited skill points.

Levels 8-17: Mystic Theurge Levels

Spend the next ten levels as a Mystic Theurge to enhance his Cleric and Sorcerer spellcasting. Acquire Metamagic: Extend early on to double the duration of “one round/level” buffs like Displacement, Haste, and Prayer, leveraging his two spell lists. As a Mystic Theurge, Harrim can prepare Sorcerer spells using Cleric slots and cast Cleric spells spontaneously using Sorcerer slots, though this uses a higher-level slot (e.g., casting Magic Missile as a Cleric uses a 2nd-level Cleric slot). This mitigates the need for Metamagic: Heighten Spell. Due to his slow spell progression, Harrim is not ideal for Metamagic Rods. He has surplus feats, so take Metamagic: Empower and Metamagic: Quicken as he levels.
