Begin your pathfinder kingmaker adventure in the Swordlord's Offer. Learn movement, camera control, and spell preparation basics.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
You begin in a banquet hall. Swordlord Jamandi Aldori and Lord Mayor Joseph Sellemius will explain your quest: venture south into the Stolen Lands to wrest control from a bandit leader called the Stag Lord. Your reward will be lands, titles, and rule of your own domain.
  2. 2
A Halfling Bard named Linzi may approach you, wanting to follow and record your deeds.
  3. 3
The game will present tutorials on movement. To move a character, select them (left-click or drag a box) and click on your destination.
  4. 4
Control the camera by moving your mouse cursor to the edge of the screen (full-screen) or using WASD keys, arrow keys, or the mouse scroll wheel button. Zoom in and out with the mouse scroll wheel.
  5. 5
Clicking on other characters or objects will cause your selected character to interact. Non-hostile characters can be spoken to, while hostile characters can be attacked. Objects perform their obvious function (doors, chests, levers).
  6. 6
If your character can cast spells, press 'B' to open your spellbook. Drag spells from the center to empty slots on the bottom left to memorize them. Spells must be memorized to be cast, unless you are a Sorcerer or similar sub-class. Most spells (except 0-level) have a finite number of uses per day and require rest to replenish.
  7. 7
Cast spells and abilities using the hotkey bar above your character's portrait. Expanded spell and ability windows can be accessed via icons above the hotkey bar. Drag icons to the hotkey bar for easier access.
  8. 8
Press and hold the 'Tab' key to highlight or display the names of all interactable objects.
  9. 9
To exit the area, scroll to the southeastern corner of the screen to find large doors. Click on the door icon (area transition) to proceed.
Tips
  • Use the 'Tab' key to easily identify interactable objects.
  • Sorcerers and similar sub-classes can cast known spells freely without memorization.
