Walkthrough

    Travel to Thorn Ford. From there, head West, Northwest, Southwest, and Southwest again to reach the Technic League Encampment.

    From the southwestern start of the area, head north to the northernmost edge. Turn west and defeat the isolated Technic League Bowman and Swordsman near a tent.

    Proceed west to engage the remaining enemies: a Technic League Archer, a Technic League Swordsman, two Technic League Mages, and Kalannah.

    To gain an advantage, free the prisoners Regongar and Octavia, who are bound west of the easternmost tent. They will immediately join the fight.

    Focus your party's attacks on Kalannah to prevent her from summoning more enemies. Utilize summons if available and manage the Mages' _Cause Fear_ spells.

    After defeating Kalannah, defeat the remaining Archer and Swordsman.

    Decide Kalannah's fate: allow Regongar to kill her, kill her yourself, or let her go free.

    Regongar and Octavia will offer to join your party. Accept them to recruit the Eldritch Scion and Rogue/Wizard spellcasters.

    Loot the encampment: find a Masterwork Longbow on the Bowman, Masterwork Estocs and Scrolls on the Mages, and a Wand of Expeditious Retreat and Headband of Vast Intelligence +2 on Kalannah (if defeated).

    Loot sacks and chests, including one near Kalannah's tent (potentially containing a Chainshirt +1) and another to the east with a Scroll of Bane, a Potion of Mage Armor, and a Potion of Reduce Person.

  • Rest fully upon arriving at the encampment, as a significant fight awaits.
  • Freeing Regongar and Octavia can draw enemy fire and attention, making the fight easier, though it sacrifices surprise.
  • If you spare Kalannah, she may offer assistance in a future quest. However, her Headband of Vast Intelligence +2 is a valuable early-game item that can be looted if she is killed.
  • Octavia's high Dexterity and Rogue proficiencies make her competent in ranged combat.
  • Use Octavia's Trickery skill to open locked chests found throughout the camp.
