Tranquil River Bend

Upon entering the cavern, buff your party and head northwest. You'll find a large, watery cavern with lesser Boggards: two Brutes, a Savage, a Warden, and a Monitor Lizard. Defeat them and loot any masterwork weapons. Search barrels and crates to the southwest for trinkets.

Proceed northwest to another cavern for a trickier fight against a Savage, a Scarred One, and two Prophets. The Prophets will attack from range while the melee Boggards engage your party. Focus on disabling the Prophets with spells like Grease, Entangle, or Web due to their poor Reflex Saves. Alternatively, send a warrior to engage them directly, buffed with Resist Elements (fire) to mitigate Burning Arc damage. Dispatch the Savage and Scarred One, then focus on the Prophets.

After the fight, loot the Boggard bodies and a barrel. Continue northwest to a small chamber with two Savages and a Scarred One. This should be a relatively easy encounter.

Follow a long passage southwest. At the end, you'll face another group of Boggards: a Savage, Scarred One, Warden, and their pet Monitor Lizard. Spells like Hold Person can neutralize the Boggard Champion.

Venture southeast for the final, most challenging encounter. You'll face three Boggard Savages, a Boggard Prophet, and the formidable Boggard Champion (Barbarian 8). The Champion has a high Attack Bonus (+20) and a powerful Greatclub that can Cleave. The Prophets carry a Ring of Protection +1 and a Cloak of Resistance +1. The Champion uses Power Attack, Lethal Stance, and Rage, and while its AC is boosted by Barkskin, it's still vulnerable to spells targeting Will Saves like Hideous Laughter or Color Spray.

Before engaging the Champion, ensure your party is fully healed and buffed with spells such as Mage Armor, Shield, Shield of Faith, Barkskin, Blur, Mirror Image, and Bless. Focus all damage on the Champion to bring it down quickly. Once the Champion is defeated, deal with the Prophet, and then the Savages.

After the battle, loot the Boggard Prophet for a Ring of Protection +1 and a Cloak of Resistance +1. The Boggard Champion drops a Greatclub +2. Search a chest to the southeast for an Amulet of Natural Armor +2.
