Alright, let's head to Tuskgutter's Lair! First things first, you'll need to make your way to Thorn Ford. You should know the way by now, but if not, just head there.

Once you're at Thorn Ford, follow these directions carefully:

  1. Head Southwest, crossing the river.
  2. Then, go Northwest.
  3. Next, head Southwest again. This should put you in an empty node northeast of the Technic League Encampment.
  4. From there, go Southeast. The path will naturally curve west and then southwest.
  5. Continue Southeast until you reach another empty node, this one just east of Tuskgutter's Lair itself.
  6. Finally, head West to arrive at the location.

When you get there, head north. Amiri will chime in and tell you a bit about her tribe's customs. Apparently, killing a monster is a rite of passage for them. Even though she's far from home and hasn't had the best luck proving herself, she's determined to go through with it. It's less about her strength and more about her tribe's old-fashioned ways, really.

Amiri's going to try and take Tuskgutter down solo, but honestly, she's not quite strong enough for it right now. Tuskgutter has decent AC and HP, and a respectable attack bonus, but nothing too crazy. It's definitely a tough fight for just one person, especially with Amiri's sometimes shaky AC, but as a group, you should handle it just fine.

After you defeat the beast, Amiri will have another chat with you. Turns out, she wasn't trying to impress her old tribe, but rather, your adventuring party! Pretty sweet, right? Make sure to grab Tuskgutter's Head from its corpse. Then, head north and loot a nearby corpse for a Wand of Find Traps and An Ancient Rostlandic Coin.

It's probably too far to go back to Oleg's Trading Post right away, but remember to tell him about your victory next time you're nearby. He's got a reward for you!

Reward: For bringing Tuskgutter’s Head to Oleg
200 XP / 400 GP / Masterwork Longbow

If you're following the Northern Shrike Expedition, the next area you'll likely be heading to is the Tranquil Riverbend. Just a heads-up, that area can be a bit tough for lower-level parties. If you find yourself struggling here, don't worry, you can always skip ahead to the Glade in the Wilderness and come back later.
