Position two of your melee characters on opposite sides of an enemy.

Ensure both characters threaten the enemy's space (usually a five-foot radius).

The enemy is now flanked, granting a +2 bonus to Attack Rolls for the flanking characters.

Rogues can now deal Sneak Attack damage to the flanked enemy.

Tips

To ensure flanking, try to move your characters to opposite ends of the target.
Melee combatants in light or medium armor with low Armor Check Penalties may benefit from the Mobility skill to flank without provoking Attacks of Opportunity using the Acrobatics ability.
