Ymir's Blood Stones

Find all Ymir's Blood Stones in assassins creed valhalla Jotunheim, including locations in Aegir's Hall, Skrymir's Mitten, and near Serpent's Tree.

Aegir’s Hall - Ymir’s Blood Stone 1

This Ymir’s Blood Stone can be found within Aegir’s Hall, in the southeast of Jotunheim. Once you’re inside the hall, look to the west to find some ladders. You’ll find the chest containing the wealth at the top of the ladders. However, before you can open it, you’ll need to retrieve a key which can be found at the bottom of Aegir’s mead cauldron, located just to the southwest of the hall. Dive into the cauldron and take the key from the bottom, then use it to open the chest.

Northeast of Aegir’s Hall - Ymir’s Blood Stone 2

There are a total of three Ymir’s Blood Stones located on the coast northeast of Aegir’s Hall. To reach two of them, you’ll need to approach the coast from a specific point to ensure that you pass beyond the Jotnar magical illusion. This illusion is obscuring the location of some shipwrecks, and to dispel it you’ll need to pass through two totems. Once you’ve passed through the totems, you’ll find the first chest in the skeleton of a ship directly ahead. However, you won’t be able to access it as you approach from the northwest, as this too is obscured by Jotnar magic. Instead, approach it from the other side of the ship skeleton (approaching from the southeast) to access a version of the chest which isn’t frozen, and can be opened.

Northeast of Aegir’s Hall - Ymir’s Blood Stone 3

The third Ymir’s Blood Stone, and the second to be found northeast of Aegir’s Hall, is located in a small ship just northeast of the one we just found in the ship skeleton. To break the illusion and find the chest in its accessible form, approach it from the north through the totems.

The fourth Ymir’s Blood Stone, and the third located northeast of Aegir’s Hall, can be found in a shipwreck beneath the waves to the south. To access it, dive under the water as you approach the shipwreck from the north. You’ll find a breakable wooden barrier blocking the way, but this can be destroyed with a simple melee attack. You’ll find the chest beyond it.

Skrymir’s Mitten - Ymir’s Blood Stone 5

There are a total of two Ymir’s Blood Stones located within Skrymir’s Mitten, the entrance to which can be found north of Aegir’s Hall. Once inside, follow the linear path until you find a large open chamber. Make your way to the second level, killing any hostile Jotnar as you find them, and then head north toward the cauldron. As you approach it from the south you’ll find a locked gate. Slide under the hole to the right of the gate to access the area where the cauldron can be found. From here, look above you to the east to find a wealth chest on the ledge (use Odin’s Sight to highlight if necessary). To reach it, you’ll need to move the stone block toward the large wooden branch to the south. This will allow you to reach the rope above, leading to the ledge and the chest.

Skrymir’s Mitten - Ymir’s Blood Stone 6

The second Ymir’s Blood Stone within Skrymir’s Mitten can be found in a storage room through a door in the south of the main chamber. This is directly south of the large cauldron where you found the first Ymir’s Blood Stone in the mitten, so it should be easy to highlight with Odin’s Sight.

North of Serpent’s Tree - Ymir’s Blood Stone 7

The first Ymir’s Blood Stone that you come across north of the Serpent’s Tree is located within the ruin of an orchard. When you first approach the ruin, you won’t be able to see the orchard, but you will see that the chest is locked behind a barricaded stone wall. The wall is of a type that can usually be destroyed with a fire pot, but you won’t find any nearby at this point. First, you’ll need to approach the ruin from the northwest, at the point shown on the map below, through two totems. The totems are the same as any others that you’ve found throughout Jotunheim, which grant access to an otherwise hidden area. Once you’ve passed through them you’ll be able to explore the orchard, and you’ll notice some stone pillars to the east. Climb these until you reach the last one to the south, on top of which you’ll find two more totems. As you move through these you can dive into a haystack below, and now you’ll be able to see inside the ruin through an iron gate. Look through the gate for a fire pot within, and shoot it to destroy the barricade, granting access to the chest.

North of Serpent’s Tree - Ymir’s Blood Stone 8

This Ymir’s Blood Stone can be found within the cave lair of the legendary animal Steinnbjorn. You don’t have to defeat the bear before you can access it, but you’ll have an easier time reaching it if you do. If you haven’t yet defeated Steinnbjorn, have some rations ready to heal yourself and run toward the back of the cave.
