Follow our comprehensive walkthrough for Assassin's Creed Valhalla's 'The Welcoming Party' quest. Find Hjorr and Ljufvina in Jorvik, investigate clues, and navigate the Royal Hall.
Walkthrough
- 1Travel to Jorvik, located far north of Ravensthorpe. The quickest way is by longship if you haven't fast traveled there before.
- 2Go to the docks in Jorvik and head northeast to the Trade Depot.
- 3A cutscene will begin at the Trade Depot. You can choose your dialogue options freely with the dockmaster.
- 4The dockmaster will tell you that Hjorr and Ljufvina are in a manor surrounded by flowers, north of the docks.
- 5Approach the manor, known as the Councillor's House.
- 6Enter the manor and find it ransacked. Examine the evidence: scattered scrolls on the ground floor, blood upstairs, and a broken barrel outside.
- 7Follow the blood trail southeast from the barrel to a body.
- 8Continue following the blood trail to a nearby building, where another cutscene will play.
- 9During the cutscene, you will find Ljufvina. Respond to her dialogue as you wish.
- 10Follow Ljufvina to the Royal Hall, where Hjorr may be.
- 11As you travel through the market, avoid guards by blending into activities with Ljufvina, such as sitting on a bench or pretending to do craft work.
- 12When you reach the bridge, continue following Ljufvina while wearing your cloak.
- 13A cutscene will begin when you reach the Royal Hall. You can respond to the king however you like, as there are no significant consequences.
- 14After the audience with the king, follow Hjorr back to Ljufvina.
- 15Speak with Ljufvina to discuss the next steps. The quest concludes after this conversation.
Tips
- When moving through the market with Ljufvina, pay attention to prompts to blend in with various objects and activities to avoid detection by guards.
- The dialogue options with the dockmaster, Ljufvina, and the king generally do not have major consequences for the quest outcome.
- Experience Points (XP)
- Possibly other minor rewards depending on game progression.
