Ransacking Wenlocan

Follow this Assassin's Creed Valhalla guide to successfully loot the Wenlocan Outpost, find valuable cargo, and secure the Brigandine Helm.

Alright, let's get you sorted with the Ransacking Wenlocan objective in Assassin's Creed Valhalla. If you've already done 'The Supply Line' mission, the quickest way to get to Wenlocan Outpost is by fast travelling to the Hill Gate Remnants synchronization point. From there, just head east down the hill. You'll eventually hit a cliff edge – carefully climb down that to reach the outskirts of the outpost.

Once you're near the outpost, definitely whip out Odin's Sight. It's your best friend here for spotting enemies and, more importantly, finding all that valuable cargo you need to loot.

Loot the Cargo & Other Wealth

Just like at Dhustone Quarry, you've got a choice: go in quiet and sneaky, or just charge in like a Viking berserker. Either way, you'll need to deal with the Briton soldiers guarding the place. Pro tip: the prisoners you can free inside can actually help distract or even take down some guards for you. Keep an eye out for guards dual-wielding daggers; they can be a bit annoying in a straight fight, but a well-placed arrow to the head or a stealth assassination will take them out instantly. Definitely prioritize those if you can.

You'll find the main group of prisoners inside a cave, marked by a wooden structure with banners. Inside this cave, you'll also find two cargo chests. The rest of the cargo is scattered around the camp, some on wooden platforms and one in a smaller cave to the east. Once you've grabbed all the cargo, the quest will update, but there are still a couple of important items to find before you head out.

First up, there's a Nickel Ingot. If you've already cleared out everyone in the outpost, you might have looted it from a Skirmisher. If not, keep an eye out for a Skirmisher with a gold icon above their head – that's your target for the ingot.

The other big find is a unique armor piece, the Brigandine Helm. You'll find this in a chest at the back of a cave located to the left of the main prisoner cave. If you're standing outside the main cave entrance, look for a smaller cave entrance to the south. Head inside, and you'll need to move a stone barricade blocking the path deeper into the cave. At the very back, you'll find the chest with the helm. Don't forget to snag any other minor treasure chests while you're at it – there's a piece of rare Fabric in one on a wooden canopy. You can get to that by climbing up some ropes and tree branches to its west.
