Complete the Road to Hamartia quest in assassins creed valhalla. Make choices about Faravid and Moira, and explore the Petuaria Ruins.
Walkthrough
- 1When you speak with Halfdan at Donecaestre, he will ask you to speak plainly with regard to Faravid. You have two choices: “Faravid is planning an attack” or “Faravid is honorable.” While this choice seems consequential, it does not significantly impact the story. If you say Faravid is honorable, Halfdan won't believe you and will ask you to continue watching him. If you say Faravid is planning an attack, you are telling the truth, but the outcome remains the same. It is recommended to tell the truth as it does not change the quest outcome.
- 2Regardless of your choice with Halfdan, find Moira’s house in the southern part of Donecaestre. Use your raven to scout its location southeast of the southern gate. Enter the house and read the note on the table at the back, which indicates Moira has gone to Wyke to aid her sister.
- 3Travel to the small village of Wyke, northeast of Donecaestre. The quickest way is by longship, docking at Wyke. From the dock, head northwest through the village to a house in the woods. Use your raven to identify the area if needed. A crowd outside the house claims Moira is a witch. You do not need to fight them. Climb the house and enter through the wooden barricade on the roof.
- 4Inside, you have two options to help Moira escape: “I can talk my way out of this” or “Pretend you are hurt.” If your Charisma level is 3 or above, you can choose the first option and convince the crowd to leave. You will then need to speak with the man who initially refused reason. If your Charisma is below 3, you can still fight this man to scare the crowd off. For the second option, Moira will make a convincing scream, and you will carry her away. The crowd will believe she is mortally wounded and disperse.
- 5Break the lock on the door to leave and head north with Moira. Once in a safe spot, speak with Moira to confront her about her brew. Regardless of your dialogue choice, Eivor will be satisfied that Moira is not poisoning Halfdan.
- 6Find and report to Halfdan at the Temple of Brigantia, north of Donecaestre and west of Wyke. The temple is in ruins. Speak with Halfdan in the northern part of the ruins. He will inform you that scouts advised searching the ruins for traitors. Search the top of the pillars to the south. Use the ropes attached to the pillars and jump down to lower pillars to carry a scout down to Halfdan. A brief cutscene (a non-interactive cinematic the game plays automatically) will play.
- 7Follow Halfdan and his dog, Beonton, on the trail of the attackers to the Petuaria Ruins in the east. Enter the ruins and use Odin’s Sight to highlight a ladder leading down to a hidden entrance in the north. Break the wooden barricade and climb down. Continue under the hole in the wall to the west. Dive into the water and swim through the hole beneath to the other side.
- 8In the room with fire pots, take one and use it to destroy the barricade to the north, allowing Halfdan to follow. Force open the red door with Halfdan beside you to begin a cutscene. Collect a key from the table in the treasure room and use it to open the door to the south. Continue through the ruins until you reach steps leading outside, where another cutscene will begin.
- 9Outside, Ulf insists he is not a traitor and only took what he earned. You must choose between: “Traitors must suffer” or “They do not deserve punishment.” If you choose “Traitors must suffer,” you will fight Ulf and his companions alongside Halfdan, resulting in their deaths. If you choose “They do not deserve punishment,” only Ulf will die, as he is unwilling to give up his perceived rightful share. This choice does not significantly impact the rest of the story.
