Chocobo Stops: Resting & Fast Travel

Alright, so you've probably noticed these little blue and white Chocobo icons popping up on your map, right? Those are Chocobo Stops, and they're super handy for a couple of reasons. You'll spot them out in the world as these rundown bus stops with a tipped-over Chocobo sign. Sometimes there's a little Chicabo guy hanging around too, and if you help them out, they'll give you a reward!

How to Unlock Fast Travel:

To get a Chocobo Stop working as a fast travel point, just walk up to that fallen sign and hold down the Triangle () Button. Cloud will hoist it back up, and boom – you've unlocked it! As a reward, you'll get a Golden Plume from the Chicabo. These plumes are important because you can spend them at chocobo ranches to get new Chocobo Gear. Plus, fixing the stop means you can now fast travel there anytime you need to get around the map quickly.

Resting at Chocobo Stops:

Even if you haven't fixed the sign yet, you can still use the bench at a Chocobo Stop to rest. Just approach the bench and press Triangle (). Now, here's the catch: you'll need to use a Cushion to rest. It seems like Cloud and the gang are a bit pickier about their seating arrangements in this game! Thankfully, you can craft Cushions pretty easily. Just head to the Item Transmuter in your menu and use 2x Sage and 1x Marjoram. It's a little bit of busywork, but resting fully restores your HP and MP, which is always worth it.

What to do with Golden Plumes:

Remember those Golden Plumes you get for fixing Chocobo Stops? You can trade them in for Chocobo Gear at any Chocobo ranch or vendor that sells chocobo stuff. These are mostly cosmetic, letting you customize how your Chocobo looks, but it's fun to ride around in style! If you want to actually change up your Chocobo's look, head to a 'Chocobotique' – you'll usually find these at the same ranches. Just interact with the Chocobo sign there, and you can swap out armor pieces and even change their colors.
