Follow our detailed walkthrough for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth's Mount Corel section. Discover hidden treasures like the Wizard's Rod, Enervation Materia, MP Up Materia, and Mythril Ore.
Walkthrough
- 1Begin your ascent on Mount Corel on foot. Follow the main trail until you reach a rest stop and vending machine. The party will split here, leaving Cloud, Red XIII, and Aerith.
- 2After regaining control, use the vending machine and bench. Look to the left of the bench for an alcove containing a purple chest with the Wizard’s Rod for Aerith.
- 3Next to the chest, climb the wood to find a hidden Enervation Materia.
- 4Continue climbing the mountain until you reach stairs guarded by Sandhog Pies (weak to ice). A path to the south leads to a dead end.
- 5New enemies, Heatseekers, are to the south. While this path is a dead end, use the footholds near the Heatseekers to reach higher ground.
- 6Climb up and head south to more stairs leading to a broken-down Corel Ropeway station. On the main platform, find a chest containing a Ruby.
- 7Head to the far northern end of this area to find the path to the next section. In the southeastern corner, a tunnel leads to a small outcrop with an MP Up Materia near the edge.
- 8On the western side, just before the path turns south, an alcove contains a chest with three handfuls of Gold Dust.
- 9Continue south. When you encounter more Heatseekers, look for a climbable wall.
- 10Climb the wall. Further south, another climbable wall leads back to the same section, so it's not necessary to explore that way.
- 11You will encounter Spearhawks and Bloatfloats. Assess them to learn their weaknesses.
- 12Reach a large set of stairs next to water. Do not go up the stairs; cross the water to find a chest containing Mythril Ore.
- 13Climb the nearby ladder and continue north.
- 14You will see Bagnadranas to the north. Look for a U-turn that heads back south.
- 15Follow this linear path to another climbable wall, followed by a rest spot and vending machine. Prepare for the upcoming boss fight against the Custom Valkyrie.
