Walkthrough
- 1Head to the main gate of Bill's Ranch and look for Chocobo tracks outside.
- 2Turn left and follow the tracks south at the split.
- 3Continue until you reach a large clearing with other Chocobos and Piko at the far end, identifiable by its saddle.
- 4Initiate a stealth section. You must avoid being spotted by Piko or the two other Chocobos.
- 5If you are about to be spotted, press Circle to roll into the tall grass. The first Chocobo primarily looks right, allowing you to sneak behind it.
- 6The second Chocobo looks both ways; stick to the tall grass. You will unlock a checkpoint (an auto-save point you restart from on death) (an auto-save point you restart from on death) at this second Chocobo.
- 7Reach the tall grass near Piko and pick up the rocks on the ground.
- 8Hold the button to create an arc for a thrown rock, then aim it to the side Piko is not looking.
- 9Toss the rock with the button to distract Piko.
- 10Quickly approach Piko while the distraction meter is active.
- 11Once close enough, press the button to mount Piko.

Tips
- Use the tall grass to remain hidden during the stealth section.
- The distraction rock has a limited effect, so move quickly once you throw it.
