How to Catch the Cosmo Canyon Chocobo: To Final Fantasy Dv5w7l

From the Cosmo Canyon Airstrip, travel north and east to Kamaria's Ranch. The Chocobo Intel is uphill past Activation Tower 1, northwest past Basilisks and a Skeeskee. Follow chocobo tracks uphill and left into a quarry.

The minigame involves stationary chocobos that switch directions. Your goal is to push minecarts down tracks when a chocobo isn't looking. You will also need to pull levers to realign tracks.

Phase 1: Wait for the first chocobo to look away, push the minecart a short distance, and hide behind it. Push the minecart past the bird. Switch sides and pull the cart until near a container. Push the cart just past the container's edge to obscure yourself from the next chocobo. The first chocobo will go to sleep, and you'll reach a checkpoint (an auto-save point you restart from on death).

Phase 2: Note the lever ahead. Wait for the chocobo to look away from the lever, then pull the cart to the lever's location, past a track junction. Wait for the chocobo to look away again, go to the lever, and pull it to switch the tracks. Push the minecart forward. You may need to wait for the chocobo to look away again before pushing past it. You'll reach a second checkpoint.

Phase 3: Push or pull the minecart past the chocobo to the right of the tracks, waiting for it to look away. This leads to a third checkpoint.

Phase 4: Push the minecart in front of a function, pick up rocks. Note the chocobo ahead past another container. Throw a rock behind this chocobo to distract it, then run and pull the lever to switch the tracks. Return to the minecart and push it past the chocobo.

Phase 5: Push the minecart around a corner and place it next to a container on your right. Ahead are two containers with a wary chocobo between them, and your target, Aponi, at the end of the track.

To get past the first container, pick up rocks near the edge of the first container. Throw a rock behind the side chocobo to make it turn around. Push the cart forward until you are obscured by the second container.

Once past the second container, throw another stone behind Aponi to distract it. Quickly sneak up on Aponi while it's distracted and wrangle it. You need to be quick as Aponi's distraction is brief.
