Hall of Resurrection

After descending via elevator and passing through a door, a cutscene will play. Approach the altar for another scene, then interact with the pedestal to learn about the trials.

You will begin controlling Aerith. Proceed to her designated door and walk towards the large statue at the end.

Approach the statue until a button prompt appears, then hold the button to initiate the trials.

The Trial of Red XIII: This trial is an interactive cutscene. Run forward, avoiding Shinra soldiers. The path is linear, leading you up walls to a door that transports you to a laboratory. You may see prompts for L2 and R2, but they are ineffective. The trial concludes after the scene in the lab.

The Trial of Tifa: This trial recreates a memory from Nibelheim. Follow the path to a water tower, then proceed through a scene involving fire and a reactor. Approach the body found inside the reactor to end Tifa's trial.

The Trial of Yuffie: You will start in a facility. Walk down the hallway and fall through the floor. Grab onto the railing and climb upwards, looking for green pinwheel objects that spawn projections of Sonon. Follow these projections to more pinwheels, leading you to a room where you'll use a grappling hook to cross to an elevator. A scene will conclude Yuffie's trial.

The Trial of Barret: This trial requires minimal input. Walk forward until you reach his wife, Myrna. After a scene, follow the path to a large gate and repeatedly press L2 to break it down. Approach the body on the ground to finish Barret's trial.

The Trial of Aerith: In a train, focus your camera on butterflies and hold Triangle to advance the scene. After interacting with all butterflies, you will control a younger Aerith in Midgar. Press L2 to call out and interact with stationary people, triggering short scenes. At the end of the path, interact with the large gathering of people. The trial concludes after a scene with Elmyra and Aerith.

Back in the present, the party reunites with Cloud. Continue north through the Hall of Resurrection.

Before proceeding north, explore the unused trial chamber directly west of the central platform to find an AP Up Materia.

Continue north and pass through a door to begin Cloud's trial.

The Trial of Cloud: This trial mirrors events from Remake. Follow the path from the Midgar reactor until a scene triggers. The game will switch locations; proceed upstairs and approach Tifa for more scenes. This concludes Cloud's trial.

After Cloud's trial, continue following the path until you reach the Spiral of Rebirth.

Descend the stairs to a room where you will fight a Panthera Protector and an Ancient Dragon. Prioritize the Panthera Protector to avoid its fire ring, then exploit the Ancient Dragon's weakness to wind.

After the battle, follow the path to a fork. On a raised section at the fork, find a purple chest containing Yuffie's Fuma Shuriken.

Take the southern path first. In the next room, defeat the Floating Death. Opposite the entrance, find another chest containing a Cetran Bracer.
