Learn how to defeat the Kujata summon boss in final fantasy vii rebirth. Find its attacks and strategy, unlocked in Chapter 9.
Walkthrough
- 1Before the fight, equip characters with fire, ice, and wind attacks, as Kujata changes elemental affinities throughout the battle.
- 2Kujata starts neutral; save your ATB unless you need to heal.
- 3When Kujata changes its element, a strange object will appear on the field and Kujata will charge at it.
- 4Use attacks that exploit the active element's weakness to pressure Kujata. For example, use fire attacks against an ice-aligned Kujata.
- 5If you fail to break Kujata of an affinity, it will bank the element and move to another.
- 6If Kujata banks two elements and moves to a third, it will immediately use its ultimate attack, Tri-Disaster.
- 7Successfully breaking Kujata of an affinity strips that element and prevents it from being banked.
- 8If you survive Tri-Disaster, the fight mechanics reset.
Kujata's Attacks:
- Thunderous Stomp (Unblockable): Kujata jumps and crashes down, with a splash zone. Move away quickly.
- Frost Spikes (Ice Alignment): Kujata stomps, creating lines of ice spikes on the ground that can change direction.
- Chilling Horn (Ice Alignment): Kujata shoots ice shards straight ahead like a beam. Stay clear and you won't need to run.
- Icicle Uppercut (Unblockable, Ice Alignment): Kujata lunges forward, attempting to knock you into the air with its horns, creating a large chunk of ice similar to Blizzaga.
- Voltaic Charge (Unblockable, Lightning Alignment): Kujata charges with electricity and performs two consecutive charge attacks.
- Lightning Field (Unblockable, Lightning Alignment): Kujata shoots lines of lightning bolts across the screen in four directions, twice in a row with different patterns.
- Crackling Horn (Unblockable, Lightning Alignment): Similar to Chilling Horn, but with a bolt of electricity.
- Flaming Thrash (Unblockable, Fire Alignment): Kujata quickly rushes a character and performs a spinning attack.
- Fiery Fallout (Unblockable, Fire Alignment): Kujata shakes and releases small fireballs around it.
- Blazing Horn (Fire Alignment): Kujata shoots a fireball straight ahead.
- Tri-Disaster (Unblockable/Unavoidable): Kujata's ultimate attack, used if it absorbs all three elemental alignments.
Tips
- Finding all Divine Intel in the Gongaga Region can make Kujata weaker.
- The default setting for the summon battle is Full Might.
- Yuffie is recommended due to her Elemental Ninjutsu.
- Consider equipping Prayer Materia, as Kujata is not fast and you won't need to use ATB frequently outside of elemental forms.
- Watch out for unblockable attacks and remember to heal.
