All Fiend Intel Locations

Find all six Fiend Intel locations in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth's Gongaga region. Learn how to pressure, stagger, and defeat Amphidex, Brumeflower, Grandhorn Warden, Savage Grandhorn, Maloceros, and Fulvum Varanus.

There are six different Fiend Intel locations in the Gongaga region. You won’t be able to explore effectively until you have finished your work at the ruined reactor and can use a Chocobo freely. Below is each Intel in the area and how to complete all of the objectives.

1. A Croaking Chorus - Amphidex Fiend Intel #1

   Location: First part of the Gongaga region, near the beach from the first Remnawave tower.

   Objectives: Pressure Amphidex, Don’t let Amphidex turn you into a frog, Defeat Amphidex within the time limit.

   Strategy: Amphidex enemies can turn you into a frog. Exploit their weakness to Ice Materia as soon as the fight starts to stagger them quickly. The White Cape accessory prevents the frog status. Using a ranged character like Barret is also recommended.

2. Mean Green Mother – Brumeflower Fiend Intel #2

   Location: Second part of the Gongaga region, east of the first Remnawave Tower.

   Objectives: Pressure the Brumeflower, Don’t let the Brumeflower finish growing, Defeat the Brumeflower within the time limit.

   Strategy: Brumeflowers evolve quickly. Exploit their weakness to Ice Materia and use Tifa to quickly stagger them. Defeat them swiftly to prevent them from growing stronger.

3. Shake the Earth – Grandhorn Warden Fiend Intel #3

   Location: Second part of the Gongaga region, west of the first Remnawave Tower.

   Objectives: Pressure the Grandhorn Warden, Stagger the Grandhorn Warden, Defeat the Grandhorn Warden within the time limit.

   Strategy: The Grandhorn Warden is a tanky enemy that guards frequently. Exploit its weakness to heavy attacks, such as Cloud’s Braver, to pressure and stagger it quickly. Magic can also bypass its guard.

4. Maddened by Mako – Savage Grandhorn Fiend Intel #4

   Location: Second part of the Gongaga area, in the Gongaga ruins.

   Objectives: Pressure the Savage Grandhorn, Stagger the Savage Grandhorn, Defeat the Savage Grandhorn within the time limit.

   Strategy: This enemy is tanky, can restrict blocking, and blocks ranged attacks. Exploit its weakness to Fire Materia to pressure it. Use hard hitters like Cloud and Tifa to quickly stagger and defeat it within the time limit.

5. A Two-Pronged Assault – Maloceros Fiend Intel #5

   Location: Second portion of the Gongaga region, near the ruined reactor.

   Objectives: Interrupt the Maloceros when it uses Concentrate, Stagger the Maloceros, Defeat the Maloceros within the time limit.

   Strategy: Maloceros pressure themselves when using Concentrate. Interrupt this by using two back-to-back heavy attacks, such as Cloud’s Braver, to stop Concentrate. The rest of the objectives will then fall into place.

6. Reactor Royalty – Fulvum Varanus Fiend Intel #6

   Location: Second part of the Gongaga region, inside a cave just north of the abandoned port.

   Objectives: Pressure an enemy, Stagger an enemy, Defeat all enemies within the time limit.

   Strategy: This fight involves two Fulvum Varanus. Exploit their weakness to Ice Materia and use heavy attacks like Braver to quickly stagger them and defeat them within the time limit.

After completing the Fiend Intel, you can move on to the final fight of the region, the Great Malboro. Before that, you will need to find four Expedition Intel locations, also known as Lifesprings.
