1. Cactuar Rock I: Inspect the door of the reactor to trigger a scene explaining the objective. Obtain the Cactuar statue and use the Up button on the D-Pad to make it shoot a beam indicating the Cactuar Rock's location. Head east of the reactor entrance towards buildings on a rocky area. Go around the northern side to find a Chocobo Stop. Continue east along the cliffside to a hill leading to the top. Head south, then east, past the buildings, to find the Cactuar Rock. Stand before it and use the statue to spawn Orange Cactrots. Defeat them, return to the reactor, enter, go down the ladder, and pass through the doorway to meet Kid G and start the first minigame.
2. Cactuar Crush (Yuffie Minigame): The goal is to reach at least 1,000 points by defeating Cactuars. Yuffie's speed is useful here. Gladiatuars are weak to physical damage (Art of War or normal attacks on smaller ones), and Magituars are weak to magic damage (Windstorm). Giftuars are easily defeated and provide time bonuses. Larger Cactuars use Spine-splosion, a move that causes you to lose 20 points if hit by the bombs or Tackle.
   • Score Rewards:
     • 1,000: Mist Hi-Potion x3
     • 1,500: Mega-Potion x3
     • 2,500: Crescent Moon Charm
3. Cactuar Rock II: The second reactor is west, south of Activation Intel 5. You can drive off the cliff near the tower in your Buggy to reach it. Approach the front door to get the Cactuar Statue. Use it to find the Cactuar Rock east of the fifth tower. Follow the cliffside to a grapple point. Swing to a wall with handholds, which lead to the Cactuar Rock. Use the statue to spawn three Gold Cactuars; they are tougher than the orange ones. Defeat them, return to the reactor, enter, and proceed to the second trial.
4. Cactuar Crush (Aerith Minigame): This minigame uses Aerith and introduces light and dark Cactuars. Use the button to conjure a Luminous Ward (weakens Lightuars) and summon a Shadow Ward (weakens Darktuars). You can have only one ward active at a time. Without a ward, Aerith attacks physically with her staff. Inside a ward, she uses magic.
   • Enemy Order: Gladiatuars, Lightuars, Darktuars and Giftuar, Magituars and Giftuars, Gladiatuars and Giftuar, Magical Gigantuar and Giftuars, Lightuars and Darktuars, Magituars, Giftuars, Magical Gigantuar and Magituars.
   • Strategy: Magituars can be defeated with Sorcerous Storm. The Magical Gigantuar is difficult due to its movement; use Soul Drain when it stops to attack or after it uses Body Slam. Dodge its Earthquake and Body Slam attacks. Gigantuars are worth 500 points.
