Follow this walkthrough for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth's Chapter 9 to reach Gongaga Village, explore its areas, and find key items like Yuffie's Bird of Prey and Cait Sith's Red Megaphone.
Walkthrough
- 1Begin Chapter 9 in the desert; a cutscene will trigger, teaching you to control the Buggy and officially adding Cait Sith to your party. The Buggy is called using the D-Pad down button.
- 2The path to the Gongaga Region starts in South Corel, south and slightly west of Activation Intel 4: Riverside Tower. Follow the trail until you reach the Rugged Shoals, then cross the water to enter the Gongaga Region.
- 3In the Gongaga Region, you cannot use the Buggy and must proceed on foot. Head south from your entry point towards Gongaga Village.
- 4Navigate through the jungle-like area, following the river as it bends, which runs through Gongaga.
- 5As you continue south, stick to the western side of the map to find the Suspension Bridge point of interest, which is just outside the village. Cross it to reach Gongaga Village.
- 6Upon approaching the village, a cutscene will play. Follow Cissnei to a nearby hill for another scene.
- 7After the scenes, you can explore Gongaga Village. Speak with your party members to potentially improve relationships (save Aerith for last).
- 8Find the Cinco de Chocobo Sheet Music by locating the piano icon on the map.
- 9Inside Cissnei's house, find a purple chest containing Yuffie's Bird of Prey weapon.
- 10To find Cait Sith's Red Megaphone weapon, locate the river running through the village and head towards the southwestern corner. A small cave there contains the treasure chest.
- 11Once exploration is complete, trigger the scene with Aerith, then rest at Cissnei's house. A loud noise will wake you; exit the house and follow Yuffie to the hill for a scene.
- 12Your party will split up; Cloud, Red XIII, Barret, and Cait Sith will head to the reactor.
Tips
- Use the Assess materia on enemies encountered on the way to the village.
- World Intel in the Gongaga Region should be tackled later, as the Chocobo is required.
- The Cinco de Chocobo Sheet Music can be difficult to play due to the notes not perfectly matching the music.
- Yuffie's Weapon: Bird of Prey
- Cait Sith's Weapon: Red Megaphone
