Need help with the Seaside Inn Quest in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth? Follow our step-by-step guide to find all Refurbished Materials and the Boiler Valve.

Alright, let's tackle the Seaside Inn quest in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth! First things first, we need to help Johnny recover some materials his buddies were collecting. They were supposed to be at Costa Falls, so that's our starting point. Head west from town until you find Costa Falls. You'll meet up with the other Johnnys there, and they'll tell you they grabbed everything but had to use the ziplines to escape some fiends. Once you regain control, you'll see there are eight Refurbished Materials scattered around the zipline areas. They're all on the ground right by the ziplines, so keep an eye out!

The ziplines themselves are actually fast travel points and you can see the lines, making them pretty visible from a distance. The tricky part isn't spotting them, but getting to some of them.

NC-1 Zipline

You'll start at Tower 1: Costa Port Tower, right outside town. From there, look northwest. You'll see a wooden structure; head up the stairs, and the zipline will be right there. Before you use it, check the ground to your right – that's where you'll find the first Refurbished Materials.

NC-2 Zipline

This one is super close to the first. Just cross the wooden bridge next to the NC-1 zipline and follow the path. You'll find the second zipline and its Refurbished Materials pretty quickly.

NC-3 Zipline

This zipline is a bit further out, located in the southwestern part of the area outside Costa del Sol. If you've done the 'Rendezvous in Costa del Sol' quest, you'll know Clamshell Beach. From there, head northwest and look for some stairs leading up. The zipline is on a plateau to the west, but you'll need to go around to the south-southwestern side to find a path. You'll know you're close when you spot the Twilight Hill cache. Follow the walkway to the top, and you'll find the zipline and the Refurbished Materials.

NC-4 Zipline

Similar to the third, this one's in the northern part of the area outside Costa del Sol. Get on the path north of the second zipline and head west. Stop just before you see a path leading south on your map – it should be near a rock formation that looks like a tunnel. Right next to it, there's an unmarked path leading north. Follow it to a large building with a long ladder. Climb that ladder, and it'll take you up to the zipline.

NC-5 Zipline

The fifth and sixth ziplines are practically neighbors, located south and a bit east of the fourth one. They're on the same landmass as Expedition Intel 2: Glencross Lifespring. The path up to them is on the western side, on the north-south road. Just go up two sets of stairs, and you'll see the zipline and the Refurbished Materials right in front of you.

NC-6 Zipline

Still in the same area as the fifth zipline, turn north to find more stairs. Go up them, turn west, and the sixth zipline and its Refurbished Materials will be right there.

NC-7 Zipline

North of Twilight Hill (where you found the third zipline), you'll find the Training Gym, where Jules hangs out for the 'Bodybuilders in a Bind' quest. Take the path to the gym's entrance from the north. From the entrance, look south to find the seventh zipline and its Refurbished Materials.

NC-8 Zipline

In the same area as the Training Gym, just head up a short flight of stairs north of the entrance. You'll find the eighth zipline and its Refurbished Materials there.

Once you've collected all eight Refurbished Materials, head back to the Johnnys at Costa Falls. But wait, there's more! They'll mention other Johnnys at the Factory Ruins – that's the same place you found Zipline #4. Go past the ladder you climbed earlier and look for the main entrance; the other Johnnys will be waiting there.

Where to Find the Boiler Valve

These Johnnys were supposed to fix the hotel's boiler but are struggling to find the parts. They'll ask for your help, which means we need to build the Boiler Valve using a transmuter chip. To do this, you'll need to dig it up with your Chocobo. You can rent one from the Rent-a-Bird Stables near the exit of Costa del Sol. If you completed 'Rendezvous in Costa del Sol,' you should have access to a Chocobo for this region. You'll also need to find two Lifesprings in the Corel region, and two of them are right here outside Costa del Sol.

The Excavation Intel for this is at the Factory Ruins, where the Johnnys are. This dig site can be a bit tricky because the building has multiple levels, but the digging mechanic works the same as always. Just follow the lines to the digging spots. One of the transmuter chips you'll find is for the Boiler Valve. Once you have it, you'll need these items to craft it:

  • Iron Ore x2
  • Zinc Ore x2
  • Amethyst x2

You can find the latter two items in the Corel region, while the Iron Ore should be available nearby.
