Alright, let's talk about the Abzu fight in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. This guy's got a couple of phases, and the second one kicks in when he's around half health. Don't worry, though, we'll get you through it!

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Weakness: Fire (Phase 1 only)
• Resistances: Fire (Phase 2)
• Unblockable Attacks: Pounce, Upheaval

Phases:

1. Phase 1: Abzu starts with a variety of attacks. His Fire weakness is exploitable here, making it easier to pressure him.
2. Phase 2 (around 50% HP): Abzu becomes resistant to Fire. He gains new moves like 'Ferocious Charge' and the powerful 'Upheaval'. He'll also use 'Frenzy' more often, which is like 'Enrage' but without the defense debuff.

Strategy:

• Phase 1 Exploitation: Start the fight by hitting Abzu with Fire abilities. This will quickly build his stagger gauge and pressure him. Dodging his 'Pounce' attack also contributes to pressuring him. The arena is pretty spacious, so most attacks are manageable with good dodging.
• Tricky Attacks: Keep an eye out for 'Belly Flop' and 'Flail'. 'Flail' is particularly annoying because it pulls you in, making it tough to get away.
• 'Ready to Rampage': This isn't a specific attack but a signal that Abzu is about to chain several moves together. It often happens after 'Enrage'.
• Phase 2 Adjustments: Once Abzu hits 50% HP, he'll switch to 'Frenzy' and resist Fire. Don't bother with Fire magic anymore unless he's completely stationary, and even then, Corneo might just put it out.
• New Threats: Watch out for 'Ferocious Charge', which is just multiple dashes in a row, and the massive 'Upheaval' attack. 'Upheaval' creates a huge shockwave; either get as far away as possible or try to dodge through it.
• Focus on Dodging: In the second phase, Abzu spends more time in his frenzied state. Prioritize dodging his charges. Successfully dodging these builds up your stagger gauge quickly.
• Perfect Blocks: Remember that most of Abzu's attacks can be blocked. If you're good at timing your blocks, you can negate a lot of damage.
