Walkthrough
- 1To find the Jabberwock, you must first discover four of the six Lifesprings in the Cosmo Canyon region.
- 2Once four Lifesprings are found, the Jabberwock's location will appear on your map as 'Classified Intel: The Wyvern Awoken'.
- 3Head southwest of the Gliding Range Tower and enter the cave to find the Jabberwock's lair.
Stats / Weaknesses:
- Elemental Weakness: Fire
Strategy:
- The Jabberwock is a large enemy, so characters with ranged attacks are effective.
- Utilize Fire-based attacks to exploit its elemental weakness and pressure it.
- Bring Aerith and equip her with high-level Fire Materia to cast Firaga.
- To quickly charge Aerith's ATB for Firaga, use the Synergy Skill Spellbound Blast.
- Yuffie is recommended for her quick ranged attacks with Shuriken and Fire Ninjutsu.
- When the Jabberwock activates its Gorgon Shield, use Firaga to break it and pressure the boss simultaneously.
- During the staggered state, use focus attacks and powerful abilities like Cloud's Infinity's End and Yuffie's Blindside, along with any available Limit Breaks.
- Consider using your strongest available Summon (Kujata or Bahamut Arisen) if needed.
Jabberwock Attacks:
- Seismic Wave: A stomp that creates a large AoE explosion around the boss. Keep distance and heal afterward if hit.
- Raze: A more powerful version of Seismic Wave with two AoEs. Keep maximum distance to avoid heavy damage.
- Lithic Curse: Shoots golden shards that inflict the Petrify status effect. Use Esuna (Cleansing Materia) to cure it or maintain distance to avoid.
- Gorgon Shield: Blocks most attacks. Hitting it with Fire breaks the shield and pressures the boss.
- Cataclysm: Triggers fiery explosions around the boss. Create distance to avoid.
- Other basic attacks include Fire Breath, Tail Swipe, and Lunge, which can generally be avoided by maintaining distance.
