Alright, so you've made it to the Cavern of the Stolen Fayth and bumped into this guy, the Dark Element. Don't let the name scare you; we'll get through this together!

Stats / Weaknesses:

• HP: 1,800
• Overkill HP: 2,700
• AP: 810
• Weaknesses: None
• Strengths: None

Item Drops:

• Common Drop: Mana Sphere
• Rare Drop: Mana Sphere
• Common Steal: Shining Thorn
• Rare Steal: Shining Thorn (x2)

Strategy:

• Since its physical defense is super high, you'll want to rely on your magic attacks. Don't bother with physical strikes unless you've got a specific reason.
• The Dark Element likes to start things off by casting Reflect. If you're planning to blast it with magic, you'll need to use Dispel to get rid of that Reflect status, otherwise your spells will just bounce back at you. It tends to reflect tier 2 spells (like Fira, Thundara, Blizzara, Watera) right back at your party.
• Keep an eye out for its other moves: Bio (which poisons you), Drain (which saps your HP), and Osmose (which drains your MP). Having some Esuna handy for Bio or just being ready to heal up after Drain/Osmose is a good idea.
• Just keep chipping away with magic, manage its buffs, and heal when needed, and you'll take it down in no time!
