Learn how to defeat the Sinspawn Gui boss in Final Fantasy X HD Remaster. This guide covers its HP, weaknesses, drops, and strategies for both battles.

Alright, let's talk about the Sinspawn Gui. This guy is a bit of a multi-part boss, and you'll actually fight it twice. It's made up of a main body, a head, and two arms. Your main goal is to take down the body, but those arms can be a real pain because they deflect physical attacks meant for the body. Don't worry, though, they'll eventually come back if you destroy them, so you can't permanently get rid of them.

The arms themselves don't attack, which is a small mercy, but they're armored. This means you'll need to use magic or special abilities to take them down. Think Auron, Kimahri, or Lulu's spells. The head is also a target, and it can hit a single character with Thunder. If you're worried about that, you can always use NulShock to get some protection.

Here's the tricky part: when the head starts shaking or moving weirdly, it's about to use Venom. This attack does physical damage and poisons your character. The good news is you can interrupt this! You just need to hit the head with a ranged attack, like Wakka's basic attack, Lulu's magic, or Kimahri's Lancet. One good hit is usually enough to stop it in its tracks.

Strategy for the First Battle:

Your first target should always be the head. Once its HP is depleted, it'll turn gray. After that, focus on the arms. Auron or Kimahri are great for this, or you can use Lulu's magic. The body will then be open for a bit, but it hits hard with a physical attack (around 600 damage) or Demi, which is similar to what Sinspawn Ammes uses – it won't kill you, but it's dangerous. You'll want to heal up after these hits. The body usually alternates between these attacks, but might skip the physical one when its HP is low. When the arms respawn, just take them out again and keep chipping away at the body's HP.

Second Battle Strategy:

The second time you face Sinspawn Gui, right after the first, is much easier. You'll only have Yuna and Auron in your active party, but you'll have Seymour fighting alongside you. He's a big help, with access to Black Magic and Cura. Sinspawn Gui also has less HP this time around, making it less of a challenge. Just like before, take out the head first – Seymour can probably one-shot it with a spell since it only has 1,000 HP. Then, deal with the arms as you did before, and finally, focus on the main body. It's basically the same fight, just significantly easier thanks to Seymour. If you use him to land the finishing blow, you'll have a much better chance at an Overkill.
