Alright, let's talk about the Sin's Core fight in Final Fantasy X. This one's a bit of a two-parter, as you'll be facing both Sinspawn Genais and Sin's Core at the same time. Think of Genais as the annoying bodyguard for the Core.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Sin's Core: HP: 36,000, Overkill: 3,000 AP, Weak: Nothing, Strong: Nothing. Susceptible to Armor Break.
• Sinspawn Genais: Weak to Fire.

Phases:

1. Sinspawn Genais (Out of Shell): Genais will start the battle outside its shell. It'll use Venom twice on one party member (inflicting Poison) and then Thrashing, which hits your whole party. If you try to use magic on Genais while it's out, it'll counter with Waterga. Don't worry about the Core at this stage; it won't do anything.
2. Sinspawn Genais (In Shell) & Sin's Core Charging: Once you drop Genais's HP below 50%, it'll retreat into its shell. Now, any attack on Genais will trigger a Cura counter. While Genais is in its shell, it'll use Sigh on its turns, dealing magical damage to your party and inflicting Darkness. Meanwhile, the Core will start charging up and using Gravija, which acts like the Left/Right Fins' attack. Keep an eye on Genais's HP; if it gets above 12,000 HP, it might come out of its shell again, making things tougher.
3. Sin's Core Vulnerable: After you defeat Genais, the Core will finally be open to melee attacks. It might counter with a tier 1 elemental spell that hits your whole party, or use Negation, sometimes multiple times in a row.

Strategy:

• Your main goal is to take down Genais first. Since Genais intercepts magic meant for the Core, you need to deal with it.
• Genais Weakness: Genais is weak to Fire. So, spamming Firaga is a great way to deal significant damage, even with its Waterga counter.
• Armor Break: Remember that only the Core is susceptible to Armor Break, so save that ability for when Genais is out of the picture.
• Managing Genais in Shell: If Genais retreats into its shell, be aware of its Cura counter. The Core's Gravija can also be a pain. Try to outdamage the healing if possible. If Genais's HP goes above 12,000 while in its shell, it might pop back out, which can make the fight harder.
• Finishing the Core: Once Genais is defeated, focus all your attacks on the Core. Be ready for its elemental spell or Negation counters.
