Follow our Genshin Impact guide to complete the Taishan Mansion Domain puzzle in Jueyun Karst, Liyue. Learn enemy strategies and recommended parties for rewards.
To enter Taishan Mansion, you must first complete a puzzle to unlock it. Head to Jueyun Karst, Liyue, and drain the water to reveal a submerged Domain. This involves activating two pillars.
Pillar 1:
Head to the northeastern part of the lake. As you approach the first pillar, you will battle three waves of enemies. Cryo attacks are effective here, as they can trigger the Frozen status when combined with the shallow water, immobilizing enemies. After defeating the enemies, a chest will appear. Interact with the glowing orange button on the pedestal to lower the water level by half, revealing the second pillar.
Pillar 2:
Go to the second pillar in the center of the now partially drained lake. You will see three lanterns that need to be illuminated. To do this, find and destroy small Geo crystals. Collect the motes that appear and bring them to the lanterns quickly, as they only last a few seconds. Once all lanterns are illuminated, interact with the central pedestal to drain the rest of the lake. Collect the chest and enter the now exposed domain.
Ley Line Disorder:
- Fossilized Citadel: Massive Geo energy encumbers you and weakens elemental abilities. Earn Talent level-up materials.
- Heart of Flames: Your character will periodically take Pyro DMG from Smoldering Flames until the effect is removed.
Enemies:
- Altar I: Pyro Slimes, Large Pyro Slimes, Pyro Abyss Mage. Defeat 20 opponents in 360 seconds.
- Altar II: Pyro Slimes, Large Pyro Slimes, Pyro Abyss Mage. Defeat 12 opponents in 360 seconds.
- Altar III & IV: Details not provided.
Recommended Party:
For Altar III and IV (Adventure Rank 30 and 40), a specific party composition is recommended due to the difficulty and time limits. Bring two or three Hydro and/or Cryo party members, and at least one healer due to the Ley Line Disorder. Cryo is effective against Pyro enemies, triggering Melt for increased damage. Hydro is also effective, triggering Vaporize. Both elements are strong against Pyro Abyss Mages.
