Master Genshin Impact's Easy Mode Challenge

This is the first challenge of the Contending Tides Event, taking place in Dadaupa Gorge’s Meaty Arena. You'll face Hilichurls, including Blazing Axe Mitachurls. This guide helps you build a strong party to complete all challenges on Normal, Hard, and Extreme difficulties.

The Arena is located in Dadaupa Gorge and can be accessed via teleportation.

Arena Effect

While fighting within an Aura in the arena, your characters’ ATK is greatly increased. Additionally, when characters with full stamina hit opponents while standing within auras, they will unleash intense shockwaves!

Effects within the Aura:

ATK is increased by 100%.
When attacks hit opponents, a shockwave will be released if your Stamina is above 50%, dealing AoE DMG. This shockwave can occur once every 3s.

Completion Criteria

Normal

Defeat 15 opponents in 300 seconds.
Defeat 2 Blazing Axe Mitachurls.
No more than 2 character deaths during the challenge.

Hard

Defeat 15 opponents in 180 seconds.
Defeat 3 Blazing Axe Mitachurls.
No more than 1 character death during the challenge.

Extreme

Defeat 20 opponents in 180 seconds.
Defeat 4 Blazing Axe Mitachurls.
No character deaths during the challenge.

Strategy

Premium Team

Start with Zhongli, using his Elemental Skill for a shield. Stay within the Aura for the 100% ATK buff and shockwave effect. Use Ganyu's Elemental Skill to taunt enemies into the Aura, prioritizing Blazing Axe Mitachurls. Switch between party members, using Elemental Skills and Bursts off cooldown while maintaining Zhongli's shield. Ganyu's charged attacks will be your primary damage source.

Free to Play Team

Begin with Noelle, using her Elemental Skill for a shield. Remain within the Aura for the ATK buff and shockwave. Use Chongyun's Elemental Skill to apply Cryo to enemies within the Aura. Switch to Fischl and use her Elemental Skill to trigger Superconduct, dealing AoE Cryo damage and reducing enemy physical resistance. Use Bennett's skills off cooldown, saving his Elemental Burst for healing if needed. Alternate characters to maintain effects and Noelle's shield.
