Learn how to get and place Companions in your Genshin Impact realm, manage their experience, and discover their favorite furnishing sets for unique rewards.

Hey there! So, you're diving into Genshin Impact and want to know about Companions? Think of them as little buddies you can put in your Serenitea Pot realm. At first, you can only have one chilling with you, but as your Trust Rank goes up, you can eventually have up to eight! They're not just for show; while they're hanging out, they'll generate Companionship Experience through the Realm Bounty system. It's a bit like how you get Realm Currency, but for your Companions. Initially, you'll earn about 2 EXP per hour, but if you boost your Adeptal Energy Rank, you can get up to 5 EXP per hour. Don't worry if you can't grab it right away – it stores up over time until you decide to give it to your Companions.

Want to see who's available and if you've got any experience to hand out? Just chat with Tubby and head over to the Trust Rank screen. Down at the bottom, you'll see character icons with a little chest next to them. If that chest is glowing purple, it means you can distribute the stored experience evenly among the Companions listed there. Some Companions also have specific furnishing sets they really love. If you place them in one of these favorite sets, you might get some unique dialogue and even special gifts from them!

When you place a Companion in your realm, they're treated like furnishings. Each one has a load cost of 1,200 and contributes 300 Adeptal Energy. It's a good way to boost your realm's stats while adding some personality!

Gift Sets

Every Companion has a couple of favorite furnishing sets. You can invite them to join you by going to the center of the set and interacting with the prompt. Sometimes, they'll even invite themselves if you happen to place their favorite set while they're already in your realm! Plus, when you talk to them while they're in their preferred spot, you can get unique dialogue. These chats can even reward you with some Primogems, Mora, and Ascension materials. Keep in mind, there are currently 15 different Gift Sets available, and each one can only host one Companion at a time.
