Learn how to accept and complete Bounties in Genshin Impact. Find your target, track clues, and defeat powerful foes for city reputation and rewards.
Bounties are a system in Genshin Impact that reward players with city reputation and other items. To accept a Bounty, speak with Knights of Favonius Coordinator Hertha, located northwest of the Angel's Share tavern in Mondstadt.
The city reputation screen offers four options, including 'Bounties'. Selecting this will open the Bounties menu, which presents three available Bounties: one 3-star, one 4-star, and one 5-star. Each Bounty provides 'Target Intel,' a description of the target, and the general vicinity where it was last seen. It also lists the 'Target's Special Traits,' detailing the monster's strengths, resistances, and weaknesses.
After accepting a Bounty, locate the indicated area on your map, marked by a yellow circle. Upon entering the circle, a 10-minute timer begins. Use Elemental Sight within the circle to reveal a blue trail leading to the first clue. Finding three such clues will cause the target to spawn. Use Elemental Sight again to follow another blue trail to reach the target.
Bounty targets may have unique Special Traits and Weaknesses. Higher star ratings generally indicate more difficult modifiers. Understanding and countering these traits is crucial for success.
Special Traits and Weaknesses
Invulnerable to Electro DMG
Enemies immune to Electro DMG take no damage from Electro attacks. Electro-based characters are less effective, relying on normal attacks.
Best Counters:
- Hydro + Pyro: Use Hydro skills (e.g., Xingqiu's Guhua Sword: Fatal Rainscreen) to apply 'Wet.' Follow with Pyro skills (e.g., Klee's Kaboom) to trigger 'Vaporize,' increasing Pyro damage.
- Cryo + Electro: Use Cryo skills (e.g., Chongyun's Spirit Blade - Layered Frost) on an Electro enemy to trigger 'Superconduct,' dealing AoE Cryo damage and reducing DEF.
- Pyro + Electro: Use Pyro skills (e.g., Bennett's Passion Overload) on an Electro enemy to trigger 'Overload,' causing an explosion that deals AoE Pyro damage and can break Geo shields.
