What are Hangouts?

Alright, so you've been playing Genshin Impact for a bit and you're wondering about these 'Hangouts' you might have seen mentioned. Think of them as special, choice-driven story quests where you get to spend time with specific characters. How to Unlock Hangouts:

First off, Hangouts were added in version 1.4. To get into them, you'll need to head over to the 'Story Quests' menu and find the 'Hangout Events' tab. You'll need two Story Keys to start a Hangout. You get these by doing your daily commissions – completing eight of those will net you one key. The good news is, once you've unlocked a Hangout, you can replay it as many times as you want without needing more keys!

Keep an Eye on Your Heartbeat:

During a Hangout, pay attention to the 'character heartbeat' value. If it drops too low, the quest can fail, so you'll want to make choices that keep the character happy and engaged. It's like a mini-game within the story!

Quest Progression Map:

Don't worry about getting lost or making the 'wrong' choice permanently. You can check out a summary of the story and even jump back to certain points using the quest progression map. This is super helpful if you want to explore different story paths or try for a different ending.

Requirements to Start:

Before you can dive in, make sure your Adventure Rank is at least 26. You also need to have completed the Archon Quests called 'Song of the Dragon and Freedom'.

Who Can You Hang Out With?

The first characters available for Hangout Events were Barbara, Bennett, Chongyun, and Noelle. As the game updates, more characters might become available!

What's in it for You? (Rewards!)

Completing Hangouts and reaching different endings will earn you rewards. You'll get Primogems, which are super important for wishing on banners, and also character talent materials to help level up your favorite characters. Plus, you'll unlock special 'Hangout Memories' which are like little keepsakes from your adventures.
