Learn how to protect the Bonga Bugle staff and defeat all foes in Final Fantasy Tactics Part 124. Get tips on enemy weaknesses and optimal party composition.

Alright, so this next mission, Part 124, is a bit of a doozy. You've gotta help out the Bonga Bugle crew, which, let's be honest, is a bit of a mess. The editor thinks Luso could do a better job, and honestly, after this, you might agree. But hey, a mission's a mission, and it'll net you some gil, so let's get you through this interview and then off to Fluorgis.

Mission Objective: Protect the Bugle staff and defeat all foes!

Law Forbidden: Summoning Scions.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
This is a protect mission, so your main goal is to keep the Editor and the Owner alive. The Owner, in particular, is… well, let's just say he's not the sharpest tool in the shed and relies on his Level 1 skill. You'll need to bring in Hunters and units with Ice Magick, as they'll be most effective against the enemies here. Water Magick is also a good shout against the Grenades.
  2. 2
The enemies you'll face are Bombs and Grenades. The Grenades have Flame Attack, Spark, Firaga, and Bonecrusher. The Bombs are armed with Self-Destruct, Flame Attack, Fira, MP Shield, and Blood Price, which means they'll likely cast Fira on their first turn.
  3. 3
Warning: The Bombs have Self-Destruct, which can wipe out your party if you're not careful. Keep them at bay and focus on taking down the Grenades first, as they're the most dangerous. The Owner seems to think he can handle Bonecrusher, but you'll likely need to babysit him and the Editor to prevent them from being KO'd or falling into HP Critical.
  4. 4
Be prepared for the AI to be a bit… frustrating. The Owner might attack an enemy even when he's at critical HP, leading to potential resets. Keep an eye on your units and prioritize eliminating the threats that could quickly end the mission.
Tips
  • Bring units with Ice Magick and Hunters. Water Magick is also useful against Grenades.
  • Prioritize taking out the Grenades first, then manage the Bombs.
  • Keep a close eye on the Editor and Owner, as they are your protected units and are quite fragile.
  • Healers are highly recommended to keep your protected units alive, especially the Owner.

  1. Distance weapon: Look for something with 'BOW' in the name.
  2. Paladin's weapon: Choose 'Bomb Arm'.
