Crucible Walkthrough

Head to Saugus Ironworks to begin the quest.

Defeat any Forged enemies outside the factory.

Enter the factory and clear out the Forged inside. Proceed through the first chamber, heading up stairs and across an elevated walkway.

Continue up ramps and stairs to an elevated room. You will encounter locked doors.

Option 1: Hack the [Advanced] Terminal near the locked doors.

Option 2 (if hacking isn't possible): Head west from the locked door, go up stairs to the upper level of the first large chamber, cross a makeshift bridge to the eastern chamber's upper floors, and then descend to the ground floor.

In the larger, eastern chamber, defeat all Forged, including the Forged Keeper.

Pick up and read the Forged Keeper’s Note.

In the southeastern corner of the chamber, jump onto a collapsed ramp and follow the walkway north to an elevated room.

Find the Toolbox [Expert] on a shelf. If you cannot pick the lock, search the Tin Cans on the shelf above for the Keeper’s Toolbox Key.

Inside the toolbox, you will find the Forged Recruit’s Note and the Smelter Console Password. Read the note.

Head back to the ground floor and proceed to the northern end of the room, past a bulldozer. Push the Molten Metal Flow Control button on a concrete pillar.

Return to the room where you found the Forged Recruit’s Note and continue outside to the north.

Use the Smelter Console Password to activate the console. Select the “Move crucible” option.

If you activated the Molten Metal Flow Control earlier, the Power Armor mods will be uncovered. Head back down to the ground floor to collect them.
