Walkthrough
- 1The Silver Shroud (Part 1)
- Tune your Pip-Boy to "Silver Shroud Radio" to receive your first target.
- 2Head to the alley between Memory Den and Hotel Rexford to find Wayne Delancy. Defeat him and leave your calling card on his body.
- 3Listen for another broadcast to get your next target, AJ, a chem-dealer in the alley leading to Bobbi's lair.
- 4AJ will offer you 50 Caps to leave, but as the Silver Shroud, you must refuse. AJ and his goons will attack. Defeat them and leave your calling card.
- 5Head into The Third Rail to find the assassin Kendra. Speak to Whitechapel Charlie; you may need to pass a speech check, bribe him with 60 Caps, or maintain the Silver Shroud persona to get Kendra's location.
- 6Leave Goodneighbor and head south to the Water Street Apartments.
- 7Enter the apartments from the street or highway. If using the highway, cross a bridge to an upper story and take an elevator down.
- 8Clear out the Raiders on the bottom floor, head west through a blue door, and ascend stairs to find a turret. Destroy the turret.
- 9Enter the room where Kendra is. Be aware she is a leveled enemy and may be dangerous.
- 10Talk to Kendra; she may hint that you are being hunted. Defeat her, loot her body for the note "Contract: Shelly Tiller," and grab the chems in the room. Loot a cardboard box for mines before leaving.
- 11(Optional) You can pursue the Shelly Tiller lead, which involves heading northeast and may tie into quests at Greentop Nursery and Quartermastery. This area also contains Med-Tek Research if you are advancing MacCready's companion questline.
- 12Covenant
- Fast-travel to the Mystic Pines building near the eastern end of Lexington.
- 13Follow the road north past an old military checkpoint and APC.
- 14Continue east past the Rotten Landfill, then south-east around a lake.
- 15At a three-way intersection, turn south to reach the settlement of Covenant.
- 16Speak with Swanson outside the city. He will explain that you need to take a SAFE test to enter, which is designed to identify Synths.
- 17Pass two moderate speech checks to learn about the SAFE test's purpose.
- 18Agree to take the test. Answer the questions as you wish; you will be allowed entry regardless of your answers.
- 19Inside Covenant, you can find Doctor Patricia for medical services, Penny Fitzgerald for trade, and a Mr. Handy named Deezer who offers Deezer's Lemonade.
- 20Human Error
- Find Honest Dan, an outsider looking for a missing caravan.
- 21He will offer to split the reward if you help him find the caravan. Pass a speech check to receive 50 Caps upfront.
- 22Agree to help Honest Dan; this initiates the quest "Human Error."
- 23Leave Covenant and head northeast to find the sacked Caravan.
- 24Search a Chem Cooler to find Deezer's Lemonade, indicating the caravan was in Covenant.
- 25Return to Covenant and enter Penny's shop. Search the trash can for a "Covenant Reminder" letter and find Covenant House Keys on a nearby table.
- 26Talk to Penny Fitzgerald and gossip about Honest Dan. Passing a speech check will...
