Find at least one dose of Jet, a chem that dilates time and is common in Chem Boxes. Talk to Mama Murphy and give her the Jet. She will promise information about your son in exchange. She tells you to seek out a "bright heart" in Diamond City who will lead you to your boy. You will receive 92 XP for this objective. - 2Mama Murphy's Chair
After giving Mama Murphy Jet, she will ask you to build her a chair. Access the "Special" crafting category in your settlement crafting menu and build Mama Murphy's Chair. This requires 4 Wood, 3 Cloth, and 1 Steel. Building the chair grants another 92 XP. - 3Mama Murphy's Request: Mentats
A few in-game days after building her chair, talk to Mama Murphy again. She will ask for Mentats. Give her the Mentats. She will then advise you to look out for "a man you don’t expect", surrounded by people with "cruel intentions", and to tell the "fat man and angry woman" to "Remember the Quarry and Lilly June on the rocks".
