Alright, so you're looking to get Abernathy Farm set up as one of your settlements? That means tackling the 'Returning the Favor' quest for the Minutemen. It's a pretty straightforward mission, but there are a few things to keep an eye on.

First things first, you need to head over to Abernathy Farm. Once you're there, find Blake Abernathy. He's got a sad story about some raiders who not only killed his daughter but also swiped a locket she was wearing. Naturally, he's going to ask you to go get it back.

Your next stop is the USAF Satellite Station Olivia. It's located northeast of Sanctuary. This is where those raiders are holed up.

When you get to the station, you'll find some raiders outside. Be aware that at least one of them, the one in the satellite tower, might be a higher level than you. Also, keep an eye out for Bloatflies to the west and Mole Rats to the southeast. One of those Mole Rats is packing an explosive, so don't let it get too close!

Head inside the station. You'll run into a Laser Tripwire rigged to a Tesla Arc – try not to walk into that! The main threat inside is a group of raiders led by a tough lady named Ack-Ack. She's got a Minigun, which is no joke. Seriously, this thing can shred you if you're not careful. Your best bet is to use a Critical hit on her to take her down fast. Don't get too comfortable after she's down, though; her buddies might grab her Minigun and keep the pressure on.

Once you've cleared out all the raiders inside, make your way to the lower, northeastern part of the station. Look for a red Toolbox in the same room where you fought Ack-Ack and the others. It's near some locked double doors that require a Novice lockpick skill.

Inside that toolbox, you'll find the Locket. Grab it!

Now, all you have to do is head back to Abernathy Farm and give the locket back to the Abernathys.

Once you return the locket, the Abernathy Farm will become a settlement under your control, ready for you to build up!

Tips

Ack-Ack's Minigun is super dangerous. Prioritize taking her out, maybe even with a V.A.T.S. Critical hit, to prevent her from mowing you down.
Watch out for those explosive Mole Rats outside; they can really surprise you if you're not paying attention.
The Novice lock on the toolbox isn't too tough, so if you have a few points in Locksmith, you should be able to get it open easily.
