In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the Climbing Gear set is split into three pieces, each found in a different cave. Unlike its predecessor, Breath of the Wild, the set is not found in a Shrine but hidden within challenging cave systems. This guide will detail the locations of the Climbing Gear, Climbing Boots, and Climber's Bandana.

Climbing Gear

The Climbing Gear is located in the North Hyrule Plain Cave, found on the western side of Central Hyrule. To find it, head into the cave and progress past the first waterfall area, defeating any Like Likes. Continue until you reach a second waterfall. Swim through this waterfall to enter a hidden treasure room containing the chest with the Climbing Gear. If you have trouble locating the chest through the water, use your Ultrahand ability, which will highlight it.

Climbing Boots

To find the Climbing Boots, fast travel to the Upland Zorana Skyview Tower and glide west/southwest. Look for a hole in the ground south of the second Wizzrobe you encounter. This leads to the Upland Zorana Byroad cave. Inside, cut through vines and navigate past enemies like Horriblins and a Rock Like. You may need Sticky Elixirs due to the slick walls. In a large room with ruins, use the ruins to reach a platform with a water gate. Use Ultrahand to lift the gate, draining the room. The Climbing Boots are hidden in an opening beneath the stairs you used to reach the water gate.

Climber's Bandana

The Climber's Bandana is located in the Ploymous Mountain Cave, found near Zora's Domain. Start by fast traveling to the Ihen-A Shrine and heading west. Glide down to the second tier; a Blupee nearby indicates the correct spot. The cave entrance is obscured by trees. Inside, the slick walls will make climbing difficult, so Sticky Elixirs are recommended. Avoid jumping while climbing to prevent sliding. Use ledges to rest and replenish stamina. The bandana is found within this cave.
