Learn how to quickly climb Death Mountain in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. This guide covers using rail carts, Yunobo's abilities, and defeating Moragia.
Alright, so you've just exited the cave with Yunobo and need to get up Death Mountain. Don't worry, it's not as daunting as it sounds! We'll use those carts and Yunobo's handy attack to make our way up.
Walkthrough
- 1First things first, grab the same cart you used to get to YunoboCo HQ and take it back up the rails.
- 2Once you're back at the HQ, head down to the rail track located below. Place a rail cart on this track – it leads straight to Death Mountain!
- 3As you ride the cart, you'll notice you can use Yunobo's attack. This is crucial for clearing those big rocks blocking the track. Don't worry if the cart slows down on steep parts; a single fan is all you need to get it moving again.
- 4When you reach the base of Death Mountain, you'll be in a Goron work zone. Look ahead for the next track, place another rail cart on it, and hop in.
- 5From here on out, you'll need to rely on Yunobo's ability even more. There's a rock right at the start of this new track, and you'll also encounter enemies trying to stop you. Aim Yunobo at them to knock them down or defeat them, especially Keese. His attack recharges super fast, so don't hold back!
- 6About halfway up, the cart will stop at a platform with some Black Bokoblins. Take them out, then grab the next cart.
- 7Set this new cart on the other side of the next blockage and hop in to continue. Just like before, use Yunobo to clear rocks and deal with any enemies.
- 8Once you finally reach the top of Death Mountain, hop out of the cart. A cutscene will play, and then you'll face Moragia, a monster that emerges from the crater.
- 9You can't fight Moragia from the ground. Look for nearby Wings that have Fans, a Cart, a Steering Stick, and extra Energy Cells attached. Pull one out of the rock, set it upright facing the cliff, and grab the steering wheel.
- 10Drive the Wings off the cliff to get them flying. Don't worry about the battery; you can fly around freely!
- 11Now, position yourself where you can shoot Moragia's three heads. Each head takes just one hit, but you'll need to dodge the rocks it throws. Use the dotted line to aim your shots. Yunobo's attack recharges quickly, so don't stress if you miss a few.
- 12After you hit the last head, Moragia will dissolve, and Death Mountain will open up. To continue the story, jump into the Death Mountain Depths to find the Fire Temple.
Tips
- Keep an eye on the rail tracks for any large rocks or enemies that might impede your progress. Yunobo's attack is your best friend here.
- Don't be afraid to use Yunobo's attack liberally; its quick recharge means you can often use it multiple times in quick succession.
- When fighting Moragia, focus on dodging its rock projectiles while lining up your shots on its heads.
- Progression to the Fire Temple.
