The Moonlit Princess Walkthrough

Starting the Quest: First things first, you'll need to have made some progress in the main story. Specifically, you need to have finished the Water Temple and dealt with the regional phenomena in Zora's Domain. Once that's all sorted, head to the throne room in Zora's Domain. Go up to the bridge that leads west from the throne room. You should find a Zora named Seggin there, looking a bit lost in thought. Talk to him, and he'll tell you he's trying to recall the image of Mipha, one of the Champions from Breath of the Wild. This is how you kick off 'The Moonlit Princess' side quest.

Getting Ready for the Photo: Now, this part is crucial. You'll need the Camera! If you haven't gotten it yet, you'll need to complete the 'Camera Work in the Depths' Main Quest. Head to Lookout Landing and chat with Josha to get that started – it's a quick quest that also introduces you to the Depths. With the Camera in your inventory, you need to wait for nighttime. The quest specifically asks for the time between 10:30 PM and 02:30 AM. If it's not the right time, don't sweat it! Just head to the Inn in Zora's Domain and rest until evening.

Perfect Timing and Weather: Once it's nighttime, you need to pay close attention to the weather. You absolutely need clear skies for this photo. Check your weather gauge for the upcoming hours. If it looks like rain or storms, keep resting at the Inn until the skies clear up. Patience is key here!

Finding Mipha's Statue: With the right time and clear skies, it's time to head to the statue of Mipha. If you've forgotten where it is, the easiest way is to fast travel to the Ihen-a Shrine, which you hopefully activated during the regional phenomena questline. This shrine is located at Mipha Point. From there, just head up the stairs, and you'll find the statue of Mipha at the very top.

Taking the Moonlit Picture: Now for the main event! As you're at the statue, keep an eye on the sky. You'll see the moon slowly moving. You need to wait until the moon is positioned directly above the statue. Pull out your Camera (press L for your Purah Pad, then select the Camera rune). Make sure both the statue and the moon are visible in the shot. You'll see a quest marker appear above the statue when you're in the right spot. Once you've got a picture you're happy with, it's time to head back.

Returning to Seggin: Make your way back to Seggin, who you met at the beginning of the quest. Show him the picture you took. He'll be thrilled with it, and as a thank you for fulfilling his request, he'll give you his Zora Sword.
