WANTED: Molduga Walkthrough

Hey there! Ready to take on another of Hyrule's big baddies? This time, we're going after a Molduga for the 'Wanted: Molduga' side quest. It sounds tough, but trust me, there's a neat trick to make this fight way easier than it looks. Let's get you set up!

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Molduga: Primarily stays underground, senses movement on the sand. Its belly is its weak point.

Phases:

1. Phase 1: Luring the Molduga
   You'll find the Molduga in the Gerudo region, on the eastern side, near the Siwakama Shrine. Don't worry about the sandstorm; this area is clear. When you're ready, trigger the fight. The key here is that the Molduga senses movement. So, stand on something stable – anything to keep you off the sand is good – and toss an item like an Apple onto the ground. The Molduga will sense the item and leap out of the sand to gobble it up.
2. Phase 2: Stunning and Attacking
   As soon as the Molduga jumps out of the sand to eat your thrown item, that's your cue! Quickly shoot an arrow fused with a Bomb Flower at its belly. If you hit it, the Molduga will be stunned and stay above ground for a few precious seconds. This is your chance! Run up with your strongest weapon and go to town attacking its belly, as that's its weakest spot.
3. Phase 3: Repeat and Conquer
   Eventually, the Molduga will recover and burrow back under the sand. As soon as it does, stop moving and get ready to repeat the process. Since the Molduga won't attack you as long as you're not moving on the sand, you're pretty safe. Just keep repeating the lure-stun-attack cycle, and you'll take it down in no time.

Strategy:

• Preparation is Key: Make sure you have about 10 Bomb Flowers on hand. The more, the better, just in case. Also, grab some items that are easy to find or buy, like Apples, to use as bait.
• Stay Off the Sand: Anything you can stand on – like a rock or a piece of debris – will help you avoid accidentally triggering the Molduga's burrowing.
• Aim for the Belly: When it's stunned, focus all your attacks on its underside. That's where you'll do the most damage.
• Patience Pays Off: Don't rush in if you're not sure. Wait for the clear cue that it's stunned before you charge in.

• Once you defeat the Molduga, head back to Gralens at the Emergency Shelter in Lookout Landing. You'll get a Silver Rupee (100 Rupees) for your trouble. If this is the third 'Wanted' monster you've defeated (Hinox, Stone Talus, and Molduga), you'll also get a Gold Rupee (300 Rupees)! Plus, you'll unlock the next tier of challenging monsters. Good job!
