Need help with the 'Built for Rails' Jiukoum Shrine in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom? Follow our step-by-step guide to solve the rail puzzles and get your Light of Blessing.

You'll find the Jiukoum Shrine, also known as the "Built for Rails" shrine, in north-central Faron, just southeast of the Popla Foothills Skyview Tower. This shrine is all about using your Ultrahand ability to build vehicles that can travel on rails.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
    First Puzzle: Simple Platform

As soon as you enter, you'll see two square platforms to your left and some rails ahead. Your goal here is to fuse the two square platforms together using Ultrahand to create a rectangular platform. Once fused, place this rectangular platform onto the rails. Hop on, and it'll glide you smoothly to the next puzzle area.

  2. 2
    Second Puzzle: The Box Car

When you arrive at the second puzzle, you'll notice a rectangular platform on the rails that immediately falls off the track. This tells you simply riding on a platform won't work here. Before tackling the main puzzle, look to your left. You'll see a short rail leading to a chest on an elevated ledge. To reach it, fuse two of the available square platforms into a rectangle and place it lengthwise on the short rail. Take the remaining unfused square, walk onto the fused rectangle, and rotate the unfused square to a 45-degree angle. Fuse it to the rectangular platform to create a ramp. Run up this ramp to grab the chest containing a Sticky Elixir. You won't need it for this shrine, but hey, free loot!

Now, back to the main puzzle. The key here is to build a vehicle that stays on the rails and keeps Link from falling off. The best solution is to build a box. Place the rectangular platform on the ground. Then, fuse two square platforms perpendicular to the rectangle, spaced just wide enough to enclose the rails. Use the third square platform as the floor, fusing it between the two side squares. The goal is to create a fully enclosed box that the rails can run through. Once built, carefully place your contraption onto the rails. Rotate it so the longer rectangular edge is on top. Be very careful: before you release Ultrahand, make sure you're ready to jump onto the floor of your box vehicle as it starts to move. You can't climb onto the puzzle pieces once it's moving, so plan your jump. This box should successfully navigate the rails to the third puzzle.

  3. 3
    Third Puzzle: Bridging the Gap

The third puzzle builds upon the second. You'll need a vehicle that can handle a transition from double rails to a single rail, cross a gap, and navigate some turns, all while starting uphill. Fortunately, the box vehicle you built for the second puzzle will work here too!

Tips
  • Don't be afraid to experiment with Ultrahand. There are often multiple ways to solve these shrine puzzles.
  • Pay close attention to how the platforms behave on the rails; this will give you clues on how to build your own solutions.
  • Always check for chests before completing the main puzzle – sometimes they require a bit of extra building!
