Follow this guide to complete the Ride the Giant Horse Shrine Quest in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Find the Ishokin Shrine, tame the Giant Horse, and claim your reward.
Walkthrough
- 1Locate the Ishokin Shrine in the Faron region, west of the Lake of the Horse God and east of Pappetto Grove. It's near Highland Stable. The shrine entrance is a stone structure without the usual green glow.
- 2Interact with the shrine to learn you need to find a crystal. A beam will point northwest towards an NPC named Baddek.
- 3Speak to Baddek. He will ask you to find and bring him the Giant Horse.
- 4Go to Highland Stable and speak with the manager, Padok. He will mention a rumor about a giant white stallion heading towards the Lake of the Horse God.
- 5Prepare for taming the Giant Horse: craft stamina-recovery food using items like Stamella Shrooms and Stambulbs. Having stamina upgrades from Light of Blessings is also recommended, as it requires about 2.5 to 3 stamina circles to tame.
- 6Head west from Highland Stable, take the southern road at the fork, and cross the Horse God Bridge.
- 7Just past the bridge, you'll find NPCs Jini and Straia by a campfire. The Giant Horse (officially the Giant White Stallion) is in the clearing to the east of them.
- 8Sneak up behind the Giant Horse (press L Stick in) and press A to mount it. Spam A to stay on as it bucks and drains your stamina. Consume stamina-recovery food as needed.
- 9Once tamed, ride the Giant Horse to Highland Stable and register it.
- 10Ride the registered Giant Horse to Baddek, who is by the Ishokin Shrine. He will give you the crystal.
- 11Carry the crystal to the Ishokin Shrine to enter. Inside, open the chest for a Topaz and approach the altar for a Light of Blessing.
